this evening for supper we had homemade (not my home, someone else's) tamales, tacos and refried beans. and, as you can see, asher loved it! he insisted i put salsa on his tamale, just like bram. he did not, however, appreciate the non-edible corn husk, and set out to prove us wrong. turns out, he was wrong. but that's ok. he loved the tamale!
admittedly, he didn't eat much off his plate. only a couple real bites of the tamale (we only gave 2 small pieces, anyway) and maybe 2 or 3 mouthfuls of beans (which he also enjoyed). but he's back to trying to eat again, which he hasn't been doing for a couple weeks now. i'm hoping he'll tolerate this well. and in the meantime, i'm just going to keep giving him some of whatever we're eating, and he'll learn. just give him time... ;)
but there you have it. mealtime with asher. and you don't even have to clean up the mess! lol
